BARCELONA IN JULY
Vacationing in Barcelona, Spain 2016
This year I decided to finally finish one of my travel goals..Europe!!
It all began in Iceland, then Spain, and then a quick stop in Paris and London!!
Barcelona, Spain, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. From the rich culture to the breathtaking beauty, this is one destination you don’t want to miss out on. If you are going to be vacationing in Barcelona, there are a few spots you don’t want to miss out on. Here are just a few amazing destinations that I visited in Barcelona.
The Park Guell: The Park Guell is a public park system. It is home to several gardens and different architectonic aspects. You can find it in Carmel Hill, which belongs to the Collserola mountain range. It is an absolutely fantastic sight to see, from the gardens themselves to just the feeling of being among such wonders. The designer, Antoni Gaudi, received the position from Eusebi Guell, who had urbanization on his mind.
The Gaudi House Museum: Antoni Gaudi, the famous architect lived in the Gaudi House, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations. It was originally built as a show house for the Park Guell urbanization project. After Gaudi died, the house went through new owners but later became opened up as the Gaudi House Museum. It provides an opportunity to really get a feel for what Barcelona once was and gives tourists the chance to learn more about the history of Barcelona and appreciate what it has become today.
The Basilica I Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia (La Sagrada Familia): The La Sagrada Familia is a huge Roman Catholic church that was also designed by Antoni Gaudi. While it is incomplete, it is still a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is quite the structure to witness. There is no other church that compares to it, the La Sagrada Familia is the epitome of Gothic architecture and is a true testament to the art of the Middle Ages.
