Let's Go Thrifting: My Trip to City Thrift in Marietta, GA
I am back with a quick thrift trip, and this one had a few surprises I did not see coming. If you are in Atlanta, City Thrift is on Roswell Road near the Big Chicken, (1140 Roswell Rd

Wait, You Can Return Thrift Store Finds?
Before I even got inside, I learned something new. Apparently you can return items at the thrift store if something did not work out, which honestly changes how I think about trying things on at home instead of in a crowded fitting room.
The Store Itself
City Thrift is big. Shoes up front, then a full run of women's clothing, jeans, boots, shirts, sweaters, athletic wear, plus housewares, bed and bath, and a men's section in the back. Everything is sized, which makes digging through a huge store so much easier.
The One That Got Away
I had my eye on a rack of cute two piece sets and stepped away for just a second to set up my camera. When I turned back around, another shopper had swooped in and taken the entire rack. I will admit I was irritated in the moment, but she needed it more than me that day, so good for her.
The Find of the Day: A $450 Dress for $9.99
This is the moment that makes thrifting worth it. I found a dress that had every sign of being genuinely expensive, a dry cleaner tag still inside and a label that just looked substantial. I looked it up on my phone right there in the store and found the same dress listed for $449. I paid $9.99. It did not fit me, but it is headed straight to my Poshmark closet.
The Haul
Between City Thrift and a follow up trip to Goodwill, I came home with mostly pants, apparently that is just what I needed that week, plus a vintage two piece set, a men's blazer I could not resist, two vintage ties, and a $12.99 pair of brand new Zara boots. Total spent between both trips came to just under $80, including a Goodwill gift card I had saved up.
Would I Go Back?
