Vlogmas Day 1: A 5am Flight to LA, Red Velvet Cake, Venice Canals & The Brow Trip Begins

Vlogmas 2025 is officially here and I could not think of a better way to kick off the month than with an early morning flight, a quick trip to the West Coast, and a little adventure around one of my favorite places in Los Angeles.

This year, my Vlogmas series will follow a mix of travel, everyday life, and the little moments that make December feel magical. And Day 1 definitely delivered.

A 5am Flight to Los Angeles

The day started before the sun came up. You know that feeling when your alarm goes off at a time that should be illegal? That was me at 2am, grabbing my suitcase and heading to the airport for a 5am flight to LAX.

There is something peaceful about flying that early. The airport is quiet, the world hasn’t fully woken up yet, and it feels like you’re getting a head start on the day.

After landing at LAX, I picked up my rental car and hit the road. There’s something nostalgic about being back in LA, a mix of warm air, palm trees, and that little feeling of “I’m back.”

Manhattan Beach Treat: Red Velvet Cake from SusieCakes

My very first stop was Manhattan Beach to grab a slice of red velvet cake from SusieCakes. If you know, you know. Their cake is soft, rich, and honestly the kind of dessert that can turn your entire mood around after a long flight.

Once I had my cake in hand, the day felt officially underway.

The Breakfast Burrito Situation…

Next, I stopped for a breakfast burrito because I needed something real in my stomach. Let’s just say the experience was memorable.. and not in the best way. The guy behind the counter was so rude that I decided not to mention the name of the place in the video.

Sometimes you just have to take your burrito and keep it moving!

A Slow Stroll Through the Venice Canals

To reset the vibe, I headed straight to the Venice Canals. No matter how many times I’ve been, the canals always feel special. The quiet walkways, the little footbridges, the reflections on the water, it’s one of the most peaceful pockets of LA.

Walking through the canals felt dreamy. It’s the kind of place that forces you to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and just take it all in.

Why I’m in LA: The Brow Transformation Begins

I teased it in the vlog, one of the main reasons I’m in LA is to get my brows done. I’m getting 3D Nano Brows at the end of my trip, you’ll get to meet Yassa, my brow expert, in Hermosa Beach.

If you’ve ever been curious about brow enhancements or what the appointment actually looks like, make sure you stay tuned in.
